THE LION KING

“From the day we arrive on the planet

And blinking, step into the sun

There’s more to be seen than can ever be see

More to do than can ever be done.”

I always cry in The Lion King. I’ve seen it so often. The Circle of Life, it just gets me, every time. We done Elton, another belter.

Well you might be wondering ‘what has this got to do with Porcupine Rocks and fabrics?’, well there is a thread and that is our Money Animal Cushions.

Designed by the Cape Town textile house Fabrication. Money Animals free a banknote from its function as a medium of exchange by transforming it into something decorative. In the new South Africa wild animal iconography replaced controversial colonial figures on the South Africa Rand notes. In 2012 the animals were scaled down to make was for Mandela.

Each cushion comes in four colour ways, purple, navy, red and charcoal (not pictured). 60x60cm.

The fabric is also available by the meter. 100% cotton. 144cm wide with a 140cm horizontal repeat and 64cm vertical repeat.
